Chip and Crack repair

Chips and cracks in tubs or tile are inevitable. Many of our customers are builders or contractors that have made the mistake of chipping tubs with tools used to complete tile projects. We have a perfect solution in our repair process. We can attempt to fill and blend in the chips and damage done by tools or hard objects. Also, our finish is commonly glossier than the original finish of brand new tubs. Many contractors have believed that our finish looks even better than the new tub that they just installed.

Cracks are common in tile. Many hairline cracks are no longer visible after our finish is fused to the surface of tile surrounds. Deeper cracks involve the process of a fill which is cosmetically desired, but will also retard the development of further cracking. Refinishing will also seal in the cracks which can allow moisture and water penetration causing deterioration of the wall behind the tile leading to the entire wall eventually crumbling.

He took his shoes off on my porch, laid down drop cloths. When the job turned out to be a bigger project than i think he had anticipated, he called in an associate, also a nice guy who showed up within the hour and also worked all day. He never upcharged me, either. But i felt the right thing to do was to pay a little extra, which i did (treat folks right, people!)

  • review rating 5  Our bath tub had been reglazed at least twice by the previous owner (one layer that could be dealt with by chemicals and one layer that had to be manually sanded) and was peeling, making it an onerous job to remove both layers of glaze.  Steve handled it and the results were quality. We opted to add the texture (slip resistant) to the floor of the tub and are happy with that choice (it is not rough at all, just gives a little friction to prevent slipping). Our bath tub now looks spanking brand new.  Steve’s pricing was transparent and he was very pleasant and amiable.

  • review rating 5  I got in touch with Tub Coaters to strip the old paint off my bathtub and to put a new coat on the bathtub.  After arriving, they immediately got to work and stripped the old paint off. He then showed me my bathtub and said that the original coat of the bathtub was in great condition.  He then gave me the option of not putting a new coat of paint on, despite that it would mean less money for him. I decided not to put a new coat of paint on. I appreciate his honesty and the excellent work that he did.

  • review rating 5  We had a rental property and needed the ugly yellow fiberglass surround refinished. The tech showed up early, promptly went to work and made a 20 year old fiberglass tub look totally brand new again in about 3 and a half hours. I will have Tub Coaters back again to refinish another bathtub the very next time that we have the need. Excellent service!
